Bon Voyage!

After months and months of waiting, we are finally resting in our comfy stateroom on board our ship, the Celebrity Equinox.  Come take a tour with us!

Our ship in port.

This is the cruise terminal at Port Everglades, FL. This terminal was designed and built for the Oasis of the Seas, a ship owned by Celebrity's sister company, Royal Caribbean.  This photo doesn't do the terminal justice -- it's MASSIVE.  The logistics behind its operation are keenly impressive.  Their staff can board just under four thousand people in 20 minutes.  Wowza.
I love that they accommodate children.

These are our sea passes.  Basically, they are our ID cards, our tickets to pretty much any location on board, as well as our "credit" cards.  Very dangerous, these small plastic cards.  Very dangerous, indeed.

We're officially on board!  Wooohoo!

This is our beautiful stateroom.  It's cozy, but well appointed and comfy.  We love it.

Fresh flowers in our room.  Awww.

The "head" (a.k.a. restroom).

The shower, complete with uber-cool full-length shower head and super-awesome hubby.

A selection of fresh water, iced teas, and ice -- refreshed as needed.

The pool deck.  Pretty, isn't it?

The Lawn Club.  Basically, grass.  On a ship.  Ooooo.
Also complete with uber-cool hubby.

Ocean.  I need to back away from the edge now.  eep.

A view of the gangway from up on the ship. For size reference, those little trucks in the background are sporting 40' trailers.  Yikes.

Here are a couple of the pools on board.  There are more, we just haven't found them yet.

And, last but not least, the stack on top of the ship.  Pretty, no?
