Sea Day & Grand Cayman

Our first day on board the ship was spent at sea.  We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying all that our beautiful ship has to offer.  I spent a good portion of the day in the spa relaxing and enjoying a massage and hair treatment.  Scott wandered around the ship, discovering more for us to see and do.

Here are some photos of our first day.

Buh bye, Florida.  We'll see you in a couple of weeks.

After dinner service, we returned to our stateroom to find that turndown service had already occurred.  This is what was waiting for us on each of our pillows.

Sunrise the first day was complete with beautiful storm clouds left over from the nighttime showers.  I can't even tell you how gorgeous the sky was that morning.  ::happy sigh::

Have they met my son?  Seriously??
(Hint:  look at the first item about to find it's way into the potty.  Look really closely.)

What you are not seeing here is a Nutella/pistachio/banana crepe.
Nommmm.

These are a couple of beautiful shots from our first dinner at Blu -- the main dining room for Aqua Class passengers.  Oh, MY, is it wonderful.  Our table was right next to the window.  Absolutely gorgeous.

The sunrise this morning was, again, stellar.  Scott and I positively adore enjoying our breakfast out on the veranda.

Mom, this picture is just for you.  I wish you were here.

This photo was taken this morning as we were on the tender, en route to Grand Cayman island.  Is this not the most gorgeous vessel you've ever seen?  Love.

Here we are at the world's only turtle farm.  How cool is that??

We also visited the town of Hell, Grand Cayman.  For reals.

Here's why they call it "Hell."  These are part of a limestone rock formation that is just bizarre.

And, a closeup of the limestone.

Next, we took a boat ride out to a sandbar off of Grand Cayman to swim with the stingrays.
Unbelievable.  Truly amazing.
And, for the record, the water in the Bahamas really is that blue.  It's almost surreal.

The black blobs in this picture are the stingrays.  They were incredibly prolific.

Finally, here are a few pictures of some of the scenery we saw today.
